IAN MACDONALD - Keyboards
HISTORY:
Ian joined his first band, "Alexia" in 1991 as a bassist and keyboardist. This band formed a nucleus in which later became the band Hour Glass which released two full-length albums, "Time is of the Essence"(1993) and "Retrospect"(1995), and later released a 3-song EP entitled "Strange That Day" (1996). Ian played with Planet Sarcasm for a few years, releasing song on "Through Different Eyes - A Tribute to Fates Warning". Ian also has played as a session keyboardist on a number of occasions. Ian joined AZTEC JADE in June of 2001 just in time for the PowerMad concert in Baltimore, MD.
Ian's playing style is a confluence of jazz and classical with a twist of insanity. His solo technique resembles the high-speed blues guitar mixed with "a bit o metal".
